After choosing the right color for any project a visit to the local paint store or hardware store is in order. After the paint color is mixed it is vigorously shaken to assure a solid mix – that is a given.

If you buy paint of the shelf, irregardless of size of the container, it is not a given that it is completely mixed and ready to use. Always ask the assistant behind the counter to shake the paint can before you leave the store.
