Hardwood Floor Project

The owner wanted to remove the carpet in the master bedroom and the adjacent walk in closet and replace it with bamboo flooring to match the hardwood floor in the rest of the house.

After the required waiting period to let the hardwood floor acclimatize to the environment the installation was relatively fast and easy. We installed a vapor barrier before the wood floor was installed, after that the only time consuming task was the accurate cutting of the individual pieces. Some of the narrow corners and door steps to the bathroom required multiple shaped cuts. To finalize the look and feel we added a stained, quarter inch shoe molding in the bedroom as well as the closet.
